Masterclasses, debates, and roundtables focused primarily on the Portuguese horror film industry through the new segment "Um País com Medo do Terror" developed with Tiago Bartolomeu Costa, which brought together professionals from all sectors in pitch sessions, the Images and Reflections meetings, and the roundtables on Scouting, Financing and Production, Distribution and Exhibition, and Communication and Press.
In addition to the packed Lobo Mau program aimed at families, which this year gave carte blanche to the Galician Freaky Film Festival and its children's and youth showcase "Pequefreak", it also brought a horror cookie decorating workshop to the MOTELX Lounge for the first time.  The collective book "The Best Tales from the Terror Factory – Vol. 3" was released, integrated into the panel "Horror in Portugal: Between the Niche and Literature," in addition to the birth of the 1st edition of the Digital Film Festival, in partnership with Thumb Media and YouTube, in an initiative dedicated to the production of content for digital platforms, with the panel "The Cinema that Escapes, Images that Spread". The public also experienced, for the first time in the Festival's history, total interactivity with the film "The Run" by Stephen de Villiers. In the parallel sections, Section X explored the punk avant-garde of the "2551" trilogy by Norbert Pfaffenbichler, and Suite 13 was also born, a section dedicated to B-movies, focusing this year on the "godfather of gore," Herschell Gordon Lewis. In this edition, the thematic focus was on the female condition in horror cinema, thus prompting the creation of the Noémia Delgado Award for Notable Women in Horror, in which the inaugural distinction was awarded to the legendary American producer Gale Anne Hurd, producer of the films "Aliens", "Tremors" and "The Terminator", whose masterclass took place on the terrace of the Portuguese Cinematheque.
