Margarida Vila-Nova made her film debut in 1988 with “Dédé”, by Jean Louis Benoît. Since then, she has been in several feature films by directors João Mario Grilo, Mário Barroso, João Botelho, Raúl Ruiz, among others.
She has also played various parts in theater, including in “The Death of Romeo and Juliet” and “Macbeth”,
by Shakespeare and “The Prince of Hamburg”, by Kleist. In cinema, the following films stand out: “O Milagre
Segundo Salomé”, by Mário Barroso, and “Cartas da Guerra” and “Hotel Império”, by Ivo M. Ferreira, a film for
which she received the nomination for best actor at the Sophia 2020 Awards and the SPA Autores 2020 Awards
