In 2025, MOTELX launches a programme dedicated to the Portuguese horror film industry, designed both for professionals across all areas with films selected in the different sections, and for those curi ous to experience the adventure of genre cinema. Throughout the festival, there will be many opportunities for encounters between filmmakers and audiences: Q&As after screenings, masterclasses with international guests, pitching sessions for new scripts, and project presentations. The aim is to take stock of the will to make horror cinema in Portugal, creating spaces for discussion on the many different stages of a film’s production chain.
