Gale Anne Hurd, winner of the inaugural Noémia Delgado Award, boasts a career spanning over four decades, beginning with one of the great est science fiction classics, “The Terminator”, following her training at Roger Corman’s legendary New World Pictures. In this masterclass, moderat ed by Heidi Honeycutt — author of “I Spit on Your Celluloid: The History of Women Directing Horror Movies” — the remarkable career of MOTELX 2025’s guest of honor will be explored. The conversation, with support from Linha de Sombra,  offers a unique opportunity to understand how a woman managed to assert herself and succeed in an industry historically dominated by men.
