Digital Film Festival
The Digital Film Festival is a space for exchange and innovation among audiovisual content creators in Portugal. Organized by Thumb Media in partnership with YouTube, this festival aims to create opportunities outside the mainstream, strengthening the creative community in its pursuit of innovation across different platforms. We seek to bring together producers from various areas of the audiovisual industry to chart a path that pushes the boundaries of digital content.
The first edition of the festival takes place on September 10th and 11th, and Room 2 of Cinema São Jorge will host these independent works. On September 10th, starting at 3:30 pm, we'll play the Short Movies and Mobile Films, followed by the Web Series Pilots, and closing the day with Honorable Mentions. September 11th will feature three talks, aiming to bring together the knowledge of those already producing content, bringing together creators of new media and new platforms.
Then follows the awards ceremony, designed to reward our creative community. For the Short Movies and Mobile Films and Web Series Pilots categories, winners will receive a prize of R$2,500. And because we also want to value creativity beyond the format, there will be three cross-cutting prizes worth R$750 for: use of new media; documentaries; social responsibility, diversity, and sustainability. Once the winners are announced, the Digital Film Festival concludes with a cocktail lounge.
