Festival Sections
. Room Service - Feature films. *
. MOTELx Award - Best Portuguese Horror Short Film. *
. Lost Room - A journey into the history of Portuguese genre film.
. Doc Horror - Documentaries about horror films or related themes.
. Short Films - Short films not produced in Portugal or Portuguese ones out of competition. *
. Big Bad Wolf - Special programme for younger audiences.
* Films produced after 1 January of the edition before the last one. Example: for the 2013 edition can be submitted films produced after 01/01/2011.
MOTELx Award
The MOTELx Award - Best Portuguese Horror Short Film is the festival's only competitive section.
Portuguese productions or co-productions with a majority of Portuguese participation, completed since 1 January 2010, with a maximum of 15 minutes, can be submitted.
The film chosen by the jury will receive a cheque of €3,000 and the Short Film Méliès d'Argent (as long as it didn't receive the award on another festival of the Méliès circuit), selecting it as a candidate for the annual Méliès d'Or award for Best European Short Film handed out by the European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation (EFFFF). | |
