The 2025 Méliès d’or e Career Méliès winners

The Méliès Awards, named in honour of Georges Méliès, recognise the best European fantastic feature and short films across an annual cycle of competitions among the member festivals of the Méliès International Festivals Federation, to which MOTELX belongs. The Méliès d’argent winners from each festival compete for the grand prize, the Méliès d’or, which is awarded annually in Sitges.
The grand winners of the Méliès d’or and the recipient of the Méliès Career Award for 2025 were announced yesterday at the Sitges - International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia.

Méliès Career Award 2025
Dominique Pinon
The Méliès Career Award 2025 was presented to Dominique Pinon, a key figure in European fantastic cinema. The French actor is celebrated for his long-standing collaborations with director Jean-Pierre Jeunet on iconic films such as "Amélie", "Delicatessen", and "The City of Lost Children", as well as his participation in "Alien: Resurrection".
