MOTELX invites filmmakers to submit their films for the 2026 edition
Film submissions are now open for the 20th edition of MOTELX. Lisbon’s International Horror Film Festival returns to Cinema São Jorge from September 8 to 14, celebrating two decades dedicated to the very best of genre cinema.
MOTELX invites filmmakers to enter their works for the 2026 edition. Welcoming all production models — from low-budget films to funded projects, from film school works to independent co-productions — the Festival accepts submissions of feature, mid-length and short films in fiction, documentary, live action or animation, until May 31.
Portuguese feature and short films, including co-productions with a majority of Portuguese participation. All national productions or co-productions are exempt from paying the submission fee.
