Call For Entries: MOTELX Award for Best Portuguese Horror Screenplay 2025
We announce the return of the competition that seeks to distinguish the best scripts for national horror feature films not yet produced: the MOTELX Award for Best Portuguese Horror Screenplay 2025.
MOTELX is proud to bring back Portugal's most chilling writing competition, which seeks to distinguish the best scripts for national horror feature films not yet produced: the MOTELX Award for Best Portuguese Horror Screenplay 2025!
We absolutely believe that terror is born on the blank page, which is, in itself, one of the most harrowing and tormenting visions for the creative soul. Therefore, we are once again looking for the “best Portuguese horror script”, decided by a jury among 5 candidates designated by the selection committee, who will have the opportunity to participate in a pitching session during MOTELX 2025 (19th Edition), which will take place from September 9th to 15th, at Cinema São Jorge. The winner will then be rewarded with €2000.
