Gonçalo Almeia is known for “Thursday Night” — a short-film starring two dogs nominated for Grand Jury Prize for Sundance festival, in 2018, and awarded at the Fantastic Fest - the largest genre film festival of the United States - and at MotelX. In 2019, Gonçalo premiered “Faz-me Companhia” at NOS Audiovisuais cinemas and was part of the selection of directors in the Talent Programme of 69th Berlinale. In 2022, was awarded again at the Fantastic Fest with “A Rapariga de Saturno”.
