A half-Filipino, half-Korean boxer wanders around illegal rings in the Philippines trying to collect enough money for the operation that will save his mother's life. When a tip-off comes to him that his (estranged and wealthy) father is in South Korea, Marco decides to track him down with the intention of making him pay for his mother's operation. But just as he sits down on the plane, an elegant and darkly charismatic man enters his life to change it forever - unknowingly, the young man lands at an intersection of serial chasing and danger. From the director of the prequel and sequel "The Witch: Part 1 & Part" and screenwriter of "I Saw The Devil", "The Childe" is an adrenaline-fuelled puzzle. Characteristic of Park Hoon-jung's work, the highly choreographed violence that unites the two characters creates a frenzy in our attention, making us question constantly who is the one and true protagonist.
