At first, the premise seemed simple: to make a documentary about an isolated esoteric community in the French Pyrenees. Far from civilization, Finnish filmmaker Otso Tiainen would undertake a fascinating study of those who had found a singular way to live out their occult and religious convictions. But when one member of the enclave — former Hollywood director Richard Stanley — becomes the target of scandalous allegations about his past, the narrative takes an unexpected turn and shifts its focus to his devotees. Confronted with the possibility that their devotion may have been misplaced, will they be willing to face what could become a true crisis of faith? From the clash between mirage and reality emerges a cult tale, forever veiled in the shadow of doubt.
