After being victim of a hostage situation, Teresa lives under a kind of house arrest in her villa. Knowing that she is still very traumatised, her husband offers her a high-end armoured car and convinces her to go to the family farm. However, shortly after arriving at the property, the labourers - informed that they will have to leave the land which has been sold and tired of years of exploitation - occupy the farm at gunpoint. While Roberto is taken hostage, Teresa flees to her car, where she gets trapped. With a stunning photography reminiscent of a western, Daniel Bandeira's film reopens the dialogue between the filmic and the real, alluding to the disparity between social classes, the colonial past and structural racism in Brazil through a violent chase. It premieres at MOTELX, after having been screened in one of the most prestigious sections of the Berlinale (Panorama) in 2023.
