Jonny, a rebellious teen about to complete her 18th birthday, is sent to Auntie Hildie’s house, where she will go through a rite of passage every woman in their family must do. This supernatural metamorphosis is woven on an already-terrified small town as a backdrop, with a masked serial killer kidnapping high-school girls and torturing them to death. In the possession of her Forevering, a new Jonny, mythically feral, goes after the Perpetrator with the help of Elektra, a class-mate she is infatuated with. Premiered at the 73rd edition of the Berlin International Film Festival, Jennifer Reeder offers us, in an embroidery assembled with a feminist needle,  an experimental and surrealistic film, in which blood (a lot of blood) means power and movements flow in one direction: vindication.
