Seoul, 2022, where “eating alone” has become the norm, and dating apps rule over the universe of human relationships post-COVID-19, “New Normal” points out the dangers of this new human configuration in big cities. 6 people having their normal usual day, minding their business, cross paths in unexpected and disturbing ways throughout 4 days. This prophecy is about the era of this “New Normal” we are living, and which requires new definitions in all aspects and relationships, and is full of notes about this new present and daily life. An anthology of 6 entwined stories of love and murder in a horror comedy format, set in post-pandemic Seoul, by the director of “Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum” (MOTELX 2018), which was the chosen film for the closing screening of the renowned Korean Film Festival, BIFAN.
