While on holiday on the island of Itamaracá in Brazil, a Portuguese family shelters a mysterious man who appears from the sea and does not speak. The man dies suddenly and the next day, another identical man shows up on the same beach. His intentions do not seem good.

André Marques

André Marques (1984, Portugal) studied cinema at Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema (Lisbon) and is a multi-award-winning Portuguese screenwriter/director. His work has multiplied in several areas - fiction, experimental, documentary - with films and projects selected in internationally renowned festivals such as the Berlin Festival, Venice Festival, Palm Springs, Leeds, Curtas Vila do Conde, Gijón, Doclisboa, among others. "O Bêbado" will be his first feature film, premiering in 2023.
