Chico, a rather sloppy-looking man, decides to improve his image in order to gain the self-esteem necessary to ask his very attractive neighbour, Clara, out on a date. However, when after spending the night together, a clearly distressed Clara denies their involvement, Chico is forced to confront reality - and the perversions of his own mind.
