Nour makes a living smuggling exotic animals and illicit products (birds of prey, poisons, rare roots and so on), and acting as a kind of traditional healer in her community. Wanting a better future for her son outside the city where they live, she creates an app that connects clients and marabouts. Her idea is a success, but when one of these consultations turns into a tragedy, Nour is confronted with a wave of violence and persecution that could cost her and her son their lives. "Hood Witch" (or "Rokya", originally) is a modern-day witch hunt that protests against the patriarchal and sometimes fundamentalist nature of religious belief.
