Attachment Theory is a film about isolation, anxiety and the pressure of living in the digital age. Set in the near future against the backdrop of a global pandemic, Olive has retreated from the world. Olive’s sole contact with the outside world is through a drone that delivers her medication.  As time passes an attachment develops between Olive and the machine. Intent on maintaining a 5 star rating the machine begins to override its programming. When Olive confronts this aberrant behaviour she unwittingly sets in motion a deadly escalation of the machine’s will to prevail.
