Handed or forged originally by Muslims, the “Lenda do Mar Tenebroso” (“Legend of The Dark Sea”), described the Atlantic as an ocean plunged into constant darkness and inhabited by terrible beasts that could sink any ship in its fearsome and boiling waters.
