72 Hour Film Project MOTELX/FCSH: “Vislumbre”

MOTELX and FCSH - Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of NOVA University Lisbon joined forces once again, this time to co-organise a film directing workshop. On 4, 5 and 6 of June, a group of eight students from the Film Direction course, taught by professor Pedro Florêncio, were challenged to collectively write, direct and edit a short horror film. The project was co-supervised with the director of “Mutant Blast” and “Papa Wrestling”, Fernando Alle, and the director of photography, André Mendes, who were present at every moment of the production.

When a serial killer makes a small mistake, we are dragged into the world of one of his victims as she looks for a way to escape. A free adaptation of the first Portuguese horror film, “Os Crimes de Diogo Alves” (1911), “Vislumbre” unlocks an experience of the seer as it explores what may have been the Aqueduto das Águas Livres killer's only regret.

The film will be presented during the 18th edition of the Festival, as part of MOTELX Lab.
