In his fifth year, MOTELX is back with a vengeance 7 until 11 September 2011. American director Eli Roth was this year's guest. A fascist super-hero makes a surprise appearance in the opening session and «O Conto do Vento», by Cláudio Jordão e Nelson Martins won the MOTELX award.
All the 62 films screened were divided in the following sections:

Events

Horror Games' Night returned for a second year to showcase the hottest horror board games. There was also a discussion panel on Portuguese Horror, in regards to the MOTELX Award turning 3.
Eli Roth presented a masterclass on his career and the TV show «The Walking Dead» held a marathon of its first season.
