, the agency responsible for MOTELX's naming, communications and graphic identity since its beginnings, won the 2018 Excellence Award at the Communicator Awards in the category Corporate Identity Logo - non-profit for its work in the MOTELX rebranding.
In 2016, MOTELX celebrated its 10th edition and decided it was time to innovate. As a horror festival already consolidated in the national panorama and with a strong internacional notoriety, it required a brand upgrade. After 10 years, the starting point anchored in the consistency, versatility and, above all, maturity of the brand. The work focused then on the Festival's name. The typography and disposition of the letters were changed, a diagonal line was added to simplify and guarantee a perfect reading of the brand, promoting it as a graphic element to be explored in the several branding materials developed, such as posters, pamphlets, the 10-year anniversary book, TV, billboards, radio, Festival awards, among many others. This upgrade in terms of communication marked the 10 years as a moment of celebration, all the while bringing a fresh take to its identity. A new face of horror is now out on the streets... and it is scarier than ever.
Congratulations and thank you for all the continuous and creative work brought along the years! Credits
