A film by Steven Soderbergh

USA, 2018, 97'

A young woman leaves her hometown to escape a troubled past and begin a new job. When she is involuntarily committed to a mental institution she is confronted by her greatest fear – but is it real or just her delusion? With seemingly no-one ready to believe her and the authorities unable to help, she must confront her fears head on and do everything she can to survive. “Unsane” is the latest film by American film director Steven Soderbergh, who this time around decided to explore the horror genre, rarely touched upon in his career. This psychological thriller, wrapped in a shocking narrative, was entirely shot on iPhone and has kept the whole world talking due to the questions it raises about paranoia, perception of reality and the system that supposedly takes care of us.
