Unicorn Wars

Unicorn Wars

A film by Alberto Vázquez

Spain, France, 2022, 92'

An army of ultra-religious teddy bears indoctrinates young recruits to wage war against the unicorns who threaten the bears’ survival. Brothers Bluey and Tubby are sent on a dangerous mission to save the magical forest along with a group of inexperienced recruits. A mix of "Apocalypse Now" and "Bambi", "Unicorn Wars" narrates the ancestral rivalry between teddy bears and unicorns in an environmentalist and anti-war fable. Directed by Alberto Vázquez, who brought "Psiconautas, los niños olvidados" (co-directed by Pedro Riveiro) to MOTELX in 2016, "Unicorn Wars'' had its European premiere at Annecy International Animation Film Festival, was shown in Cannes and is exhibited in Portugal for the first time in MOTELX.
