A film by James Cameron

USA, 1984, 107'

It's impossible to talk about artificial intelligence and not think of the world's most famous machine assassin, “The Terminator” (USA, 1984, 107'). The apocalyptic sci-fi film that launched James Cameron's career and immortalised Arnold Schwarzenegger as the most iconic cyborg of the seventh art.

Disguised as a human, a cyborg known as the Terminator travels from 2029 to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor. Also arriving in Los Angeles is Kyle Reese, a soldier trying to protect Sarah from the lethal machine. He informs her that Skynet, an artificial intelligence system, will trigger a nuclear war and that only her future son will be able to lead the resistance to victory. If humanity is to survive, Sarah will have to resist the implacable force chasing her.
