“In a (once) quiet village lost in the countryside, an unusual – and rather alcohol-fuelled – alliance emerges between an old man and a demonic sword to break a terrible curse... A truly B-series independent fantasy/comedy film!” A love letter to the B-series cinema of the 1980s and films like Sam Raimi’s “Evil Dead” or Peter Jackson’s “Bad Taste”, shot in the village of Pé da Serra, in the municipality of Castelo Branco, with a wacky mix of professional and amateur actors: on the one hand, the charismatic protagonist António da Luz – who, before he passed away, fulfilled his childhood dream of being in a film – and on the other, the actor Luís Aleluia, in what may have been his last role. It all adds up to an unexpected buddy movie, with some truly hilarious and touching moments in this first film of the genre from Castelo Branco.
