The Night House

The Night House

A film by David Bruckner

USA, 2020, 108'

In shock at her husband's unexpected death, Beth is left alone in the lakeside house he built for her. She tries her best not to let herself down – but then the dreams begin. Disturbing visions of a presence in the house calling to her, beckoning with ghostly fascination, but the strong daylight eliminates any evidence of haunting. Ignoring her friends' advice, Beth begins rummaging through his belongings, yearning for answers that will only deepen the mystery. Written by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski (the duo behind “Super Dark Times”, opening movie MOTELX 2017), directed by David Bruckner (“V/H/S” and “Southbound”) and starring Rebecca Hall (“Godzilla Vs. Kong”), this supernatural thriller poses the question: how well do we know the people we love?
