The Glorious Dead

The Glorious Dead

A film by John Adams, Toby Poser

USA, 2026, 81'

On a hellish winter day, a small rural American town descends into chaos when people and animals begin disappearing, blood starts flowing from the taps, inexplicable creatures emerge from the woods, and the dead refuse to stay in the ground. As the community succumbs to fear and paranoia, a sheriff and her young deputy struggle to maintain some semblance of order while neighbors turn against one another and the very sky seems to rebel. Directed by John Adams and Toby Poser, “The Glorious Dead” is a supernatural horror that blends Gothic influences with a portrait of a deeply troubled (and troubling) America, where the clash between fundamentalism, collapsing institutions and the loss of respect for humanity provides the fuel for combustion. The sixth feature from the Adams family (“Hellbender”, “Hell Hole”, “Mother of Flies”).
