Following on from last year’s (successful) experiment, MOTELX will once again have another surprise screening – this time in this special section celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April revolution, “For the Sake of the Nation”. You already know the drill – aside from the fact that it was banned by censorship, no one will know anything else about the film they’re going to see until the lights go down. We can tell you two things: a) it features one of the greatest divas of American cinema; b) you’ll be sorry if you miss this screening, which will take place in the Rank room of Cinema São Jorge, where, according to legend, the SNI used to screen films with its censors and where even Salazar himself was said to have indulged in the greatest profanities of modern cinema...
