In India, every ten minutes a child “disappears”, and only a few lucky ones are found. Two brothers with a complicated relationship are put to the test when they come across Jhumpa Mahato at a remote railway station in rural India. Jhumpa is in a state of panic because she's woken up and her baby daughter is missing. Together they embark on a dangerous journey through the relentless and harsh countryside, making them face the tough reality of very poor backgrounds – forced to navigate the margins of Indian society, testing their resilience, trust and, ultimately, their humanity. “Stolen” is a real-time road movie that gradually turns into a survival thriller that keeps the audience pinned to their seats while exploring themes and subtexts like motherhood, classicism, or xenophobia.
