A mysterious tunnel and ghost town lead young Chihiro and her family to the land of spirits, populated by gods and monsters, and ruled by the greedy Yu-Baba. After eating a forbidden meal, Chihiro's parents are punished and turned into pigs. To try to save them she will have to renounce her name and serve in the spirit world. Bored and disinterested at first, Chihiro will find friends and allies on her journey, discover an inner strength and establish an identity in the strange world in which she finds herself trapped. But will she be able to retrieve her name and return home? Hayao Miyazaki's classic turns 20 and remains one of the most award-winning animated films ever, including the Golden Bear in Berlin and the Oscar for Best Animated Film.
