Adela, a night shift waste collection worker in Madrid, is unhappy, empty, deranged... and horny. Blending the cinematography of “Victoria” with the use of sequence shots (inspired by the powerful Danish film “The Guilty”), Hugo Ruiz creates a tense, energetic and, at the same time, exhausting pace, in which the audience can feel the simmering rage of Adela (played by Laura Galán, who won the Goya Award for Best New Actress for the 2022 film “Piggy”) increasing with each passing minute, as we discover the truth. This brutally seductive journey into hell earned Ruiz the award for Best New Narrative Director at the Tribeca Film Festival. Better buckle up for this revenge thriller.
