A film by Hideo Jojo

Japan, 2026, 81'

A surveillance camera captures a brutal murder in a café, but one detail leaves the police baffled: the killer appears able to murder his victims without wielding any weapon. The investigation leads detectives to the suspect’s home, where they discover the bloodied and decomposing corpse of a woman. Who is this man? How can he kill without a knife or a gun? And why does there seem to be a much darker story behind his violence? Directed by Hideo Jojo and starring Jiro Sato, “Nameless” is a psychological thriller with a supernatural edge that turns a police investigation into an increasingly unsettling pursuit. Based on Sato’s own web manga, the film screened at Raindance and Bucheon before arriving at Fantasia, where it was praised for its pace, visceral suspense and character development.
