Four newly graduated friends hit the road for one last night together on the town before going their separate ways. A simple trip to get some food becomes a matter of life and death when they take a wrong turn and find themselves trapped on a two-lane road that has no end. Inside their Jeep Cherokee, the group struggles to understand what is happening as increasingly bizarre supernatural forces and threats emerge outside. As arguments, memories and desperate attempts to find a way out unfold, their simple road trip becomes a kind of limbo for a generation that doesn’t quite know where it is going. Alex Ullom’s feature debut, “It Ends” is a cosmic horror, comedy, road and buddy-movie hybrid in which an endless road becomes an allegory for the fear of growing up.
