It Comes

A film by Tetsuya Nakashima

Japan, 2018, 134'

Newlyweds Hideki and Kana move into a new suburban flat. The couple’s seemingly perfect life will be shaken when the house is repeatedly attacked by some sort of supernatural entity. A writer on the occult and his psychic girlfriend will come to the rescue, but the force they are dealing with is beyond their imagination. From the director of “Confessions” and “The World of Kanako” (MOTELX 2011 and 2013), and based on the Ichi Sawamura novel “Bogiwan ga Kuru“, winner of Kadokawa’s 22nd Japan Horror Story Grand Prize. With “It Comes” Nakashima continues his intense exploration of the dark side of human nature, now with a story told from different points of view, with characters threatened by something powerful and unknown.
