Nina, a tempestuous young woman, abandons the car she was riding in with her boss and gets stuck in the far north of Quebec. She meets a group of five men on a bachelor’s hunting trip and convinces them to take her in for a few days. In this male micro-society, Nina starts feeling a strange sense of belonging she has never felt before. But the arrival of a mysterious stranger changes the course of this impromptu holiday forever. Incredible performances combined with magical realism confront us with themes of individual responsibility within a group, toxic masculinity, and how altruism disappears in a society obsessed with comfort, in this debut feature by Annick Blanc. One of her award-winning short films has been acquired by Lionsgate for an adaptation by James Wan.
