This coming-of-age almost needs no introduction. Sasha is a teenage vampire who doesn’t want to kill people to feed herself - ironically, she suffers from clinical compassion. However, when her parents cut off her stock of A+ Capri-Suns, she decides to make a deal with Paul, a depressed and suicidal boy she finds for the first time on the roof of a bowling alley. In exchange for his blood, Sasha will spend Paul’s last night helping him sort out all his “unfinished” business. After winning the Best Director award in the parallel section Giornate degli Autori at the Venice Film Festival in 2023, “Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person” lands in Lisbon during September to delight us with a combination of black humor, romance and horror that will make even the coldest hearts beat faster.
