Jae-pil and Sang-gu are two good-natured carpenters whose slightly intimidating and unpleasant appearance makes it difficult for them to meet other people. It is precisely on the day that the friends move into their new country house that their path crosses with a group of students' on holiday in the neighbourhood. What none of them realises is that this encounter is part of a prophecy to resurrect an ancestral spirit that had lain dormant in their basement... When one of the girls is rescued by Jae-pil and Sang-gu after falling into a lake, the rest of the group – thinking she has been kidnapped – goes to the two men’s house, where somehow all sorts of misfortunes happen. “Handsome Guys” is an absolutely hilarious remake of the Canadian film “Tucker & Dale vs Evil”, in which it’s impossible to anticipate where the next scene will go. And definitely a reminder that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.
