Ghostland

Ghostland

A film by Pascal Laugier

France/Canada, 2018, 91'

After her aunt’s death, Colleen and her daughters inherit her home. During the first night in the new home, intruders enter the house forcing Colleen to fight for the lives of her daughters. After that night, everything changes. The eldest daughter, Beth, becomes a consecrated author of horror literature and her sister, Vera, loses her sanity and lives in constant paranoia. Sixteen years later, mother and daughters meet at the house where Colleen and Vera still live. It is at that moment that strange incidents begin to happen.
Pascal Laugier, author of one of the most remarkable films of the New Wave of French Horror, "Martyrs" (2008), returns with a dark tale that haunts us and completely deconstructs the rules of the genre as we know it.
