Friday the 13th

A film by Sean S. Cunningham

USA, 1980, 95'

In 1957, a young boy named Jason Voorhees is in summer camp when he drowns in a lake, while being mocked by the other children and the adults responsible for him nowhere to be seen. Years later, the camp is reopened, but the counsellors begin to be violently murdered one by one. Who could be behind n these bloody killings? "Friday the 13th" debuted in theatres in 1980, and the horror world (especially the slasher genre) would never be the same. It was the beginning of a lucrative franchise that lasts until today, with 12 films (including a remake in 2009), a television series, countless games, books and comics that make the iconic Jason one of the most recognised fictional serial killers in the history of cinema.
