A group of girlfriends decide to escape Los Angeles and head to Joshua Tree for a weekend of DJ sets, drugs and hookups. Settling into an Airbnb, they waste no time getting the party started, but an ominous visit from a redneck neighbour makes one thing clear: they are not welcome here, and they better watch how they behave. As tensions escalate and the group’s toxic dynamics begin to surface, Amber and her friends realise that the danger may be much closer than they thought. With Disney star Bella Thorne, “Find Your Friends” is a revenge thriller that embraces female characters who are just as loud, reckless and morally questionable as the men cinema has long accustomed us to seeing. Directed by Izabel Pakzad in her feature debut, it is a refreshingly judgment-free portrait of female friendship and Gen Z party culture, set against a desert landscape that is as idyllic as it is threatening.
