Carla wants to become a paranormal influencer and realises that fake ghost videos are no longer getting her enough followers. She decides to move into the famous Transatlántico building in Mexico City, known for its supernatural legends, in the hope of finally producing some “real” content. But when she begins faking apparitions, she accidentally awakens an entity that needs neither filters nor special effects to be frightening. As the phenomena become increasingly violent, Carla can no longer distinguish between what she staged and what is actually happening. Produced by Blumhouse in partnership with Mexican company Maligno Gorehouse, “No Me Sigas” blends found footage, screenlife and supernatural horror to satirise the contemporary obsession with digital visibility. Blumhouse’s first entirely Spanish-language production turns the pursuit of likes into a very bad way of summoning the devil.
