Cam

A film by Daniel Goldhaber

USA, 2018, 94'

Alice is an ambitious camgirl who thrives to be the most popular girl in her field. One day, she wakes up to discover she’s been replaced on her show with an exact replica of herself. As this copy begins to push the boundaries of Alice's Internet identity, the control that Alice has over her life and the men in it starts to disappear. Daniel Goldhaber directs his first feature film and intentionally shares its authorship with co-writer Isa Mazzei, professional camgirl and author of several pornographic videos. Both frustrated with the inaccurate representation of the profession in films today, they now decide to explore the themes of identity, trauma, technology and masculinity in this dark psychological thriller.
