American Dollhouse

A young woman, Sarah, inherits her childhood home following her mother's death. Despite the repairs the house needs, her troubled relationship with her brother and the memories of past trauma, returning to that place is also an attempt at a fresh start, away from the chaos of city life, marked by addiction, debt and disappointment. The plan seemed perfect – if only a psychotic neighbour didn't develop a deeply disturbing obsession with her. As this fixation becomes increasingly uncomfortable and violent, Sarah finds herself dragged into a bloody and perverse Christmas nightmare. Directed by John Valley, this indie slasher, inspired by classics such as “Psycho” and “Black Christmas”, dives into a spiral of paranoia and madness that reminds us that sometimes it is better not to know everyone on the block.
