MOTELX GUIÕES Award 2024
MOTELX joins the GUIÕES Festival for a partnership that gives rise to a new prize dedicated to feature film scripts not yet produced. With the main focus being to give an opportunity to new talents and authors who want to develop horror projects, the creation of this monetary award aims to stimulate the cinematographic and audiovisual production of the genre in Portugal.
The applications for the Best Portuguese Horror Screenplay MOTELX GUIÕES Award took place between March 7th and June 15th, through free submissions on FilmFreeway platform.
Among the 53 screenplays received, five finalists are now competing for the win and for the prize of 2000€, which will be announced on the 11th of September at Cinema São Jorge, during the GUIÕES Festival Awards Session.
