Cult of Chucky

A film by Don Mancini

USA, 2017, 91'

Nica Pierce has spent four years in a mental institution after members of her family were murdered; a crime she didn’t commit. Her psychiatrist gives her a ‘Good Guy’ doll as a therapeutic tool. Soon afterwards, a new string of murders take place around the asylum, leading Nica to suspect that Chucky, the possessed doll behind the crimes she was accused of and which she had concluded was a figment of her imagination, is behind her predicament. Meanwhile, Andy, Chucky's old nemesis and first child victim, comes to Nica's aid while dealing with Tiffany, Chucky's bride. The seventh chapter of the “Child’s Play” franchise puts aside the self-irony of the previous chapters, bringing back the psychopath from Tom Holland’s original film. Behind the director’s seat is the creator of Chucky himself, Don Mancini.
